Optimize
IAQ and Building Performance
The
Aircuity Monitor - winner of the prestigious R&D 100 Award
Three important goals for any building
professional are: 1) preserving the building's asset value, 2) optimizing energy
use, and 3) providing a consistently healthy and comfortable occuped space.
The new Aircuity Optima System provides a complete monitoring, analysis, and
reporting solution allowing for the accomplishment of these goals.
Applications
HVAC System Optimization Fine-tune
your heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) and control systems as
never before. The Optima system can help you improve comfort levels and reduce
complaints, while saving energy and money. Results-Based
Preventative Maintenance By measuring and benchmarking your building's
normal indoor environment, the Optima system enables you to develop a results-based
maintenance program. This allows you to maintain buildings more effectively, utilize
labor resources more efficiently and reduce costs. Construction
and Renovation Monitoring Construction in or near occupied areas
may impact occupants through infiltration of dust, smoke, even mold. Employ Optima
system monitoring in occupied spaces to alert you to these issues early, preventing
complaints and costly cleanups. Instant Response
to Complaints Respond quickly and professionally to occupant
concerns by providing comprehensive building evaluation reports in as little as
24 hours. The vast majority of complaints can be addressed through simple adjustments
or modifications to heating and cooling systems. The system can then be used to
document the improvements. Documentation of
Baseline Performance The Optima system offers a cost-effective
method to measure and document existing conditions within a building which can
then be used as a baseline if problems occur. As BOMA notes, "Those who can
demonstrate their ongoing efforts to provide a safe indoor environment are in
a strong legal and ethical position if problems do arise." Commissioning
When a building is newly constructed or renovated it is important to
verify operational and indoor environmental parameters during post occupancy as
a final step to confirm the design intention has been met. Monitoring in existing
buildings will help define the scope of the commissioning plan, and then verify
the successful outcome. The result is a world recognized technology to
help you document, manage, and optimize your building's performance.

Specific
Performance Parameters
The Optima monitor can scan and / or data log the following nine building parameters:
Temperature, Relative humidity, Carbon dioxide, Airborne particles (both fine
and large), Total volatile organic compounds (TVOCs), Carbon monoxide, Ozone,
and Radon. The Optima monitor can also collect outdoor and indoor samples for
mold analysis. An additional parameter that is documented by our technicians
is the cleanliness of your HVAC / ductwork system(s). Our report contains digital
pictures of representative areas that confirm systems do not contain excess debris.
 Web-Based
Knowledge Center For Data Management
The Aircuity Knowledge Center is a client and building data management system
located within the Aircuity's central computer server. This fully integrated internet-based
data management system is the most advanced building analysis program in the industry.
The Aircuity Knowledge Center provides on-line protected and permanent
storage of collected environmental data along with key buiilding charateristics
for paperless data management. Comprehensive, yet easy to read reports
are quickly and easily generated once the data is uploaded to Aircuity's Knowledge
Center. Reports are generated in Microsoft Word, and can be be conveniently viewed
along with summary charts and minute-by-minute results from a password protected
Web interface.
Automatic
Access To World Class Expertise
The Aircuity Optima System was developed in partnership with Environmental Health
and Enginering, Inc (EH&E), the primary research contractor to the EPA Indoor
Environmental Division. EH&E provides it's extensive expertise in developing
the program that analyzes your monitor data in conjunction with a limited set
of building and area characteristics. For more information on EH&E and its partnership
